Job Description – In-House Legal Counsel
GLF has an immediate opening for an In-House Legal Counsel to join its growing team at its head office in Vaughan. The Legal Counsel will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day legal requirements of the company.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Provide practical, business-oriented advice to operations on day-to-day corporate and commercial matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, supplier-customer contracts, RFPs and procurement documents, real property leases, and capital and operating leases and other finance-related documents.
  • Provide support to the legal team and various business units.

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

  • LL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent).
  • Good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
  • Two to five years of general corporate and commercial law experience.
  • Business-minded and attuned to the needs of in-house operations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and drafting skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
