Job Description – Associate, Labour & Employment
Due to ongoing growth, Aird & Berlis is seeking a Labour & Employment lawyer to join its highly accomplished and well- respected team in Toronto. The successful candidate will provide strategic counsel to employers on a range of labour & employment matters, including workplace policies, occupational health and safety, and employment litigation.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Assist clients in a wide range of labour and employment issues, including wrongful dismissal, OH&S, employment standards and human rights
- Advise on disciplinary matters, terminations, drafting and implementing employment contracts and workplace policies,
- Advocate for employers in labour and employment disputes before courts, tribunals, and arbitration panels, including wrongful dismissal claims, human rights complaints, and grievance arbitrations.
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
- LL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent).
- Good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
- 2-4 years of labour and employment experience.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment and a pragmatic approach.
